Just gently rinse the stainless steel filter before and after using. The top of the coffee maker has a heat resistant borosilicate cone shaped glass upper brewing section, which holds the filter in place during the initial blooming stage until the completion of the pour over brewing stage. The easy grip, heat resistant, multiple color collar, makes it easy to grip and work with, even when hot. The stylish hour glass shape extends into the lower double wall, vacuum insulated, copper lined, stainless steel carafe.
